Actors to play MLTF characters -- Raine and Tam

Miranda Otto as Raine

Okay, I know I said I was going to post ALL of the actor choices to play the characters in MLTF, but Blogger, my computer, and/or the angry technology gods are conspiring against me something fierce. I won't go into the gory and frustrating details, but what I wanted to do is apparently impossible (at least for me). So what I'm going to do is post a couple of character/actor pairings per day throughout this coming week. Today are the actors you said would make a good Raine and Tam. Tomorrow, in a special Sunday blog, I will post the actors you said would best portray Mychael. Voice your opinions and let me know which ones you prefer.

Alicia Witt as Raine

Other choices for Raine: Jodie Foster, Meg Ryan

Vincent Irrizary as Tam

Richard Armitage as Tam

Benjamin Bratt as Tam

Stop back by tomorrow for actors to play Mychael.

Have a great Saturday!
Lisa

Oh, yes. Miranda Otto makes a great Raine! I don't recognize any of the guys (I live in movie oblivion) but they all look fabulous.

I totally agree with Miranda Otto as Raine. And, personally, I think that Richard Armitage would make a great Tam! I can't wait to see who's in line to portray Mychael. BTW: Just thought that I'd let you know- I am rereading MLTF for about the thousandth time today- I just can't get enough of it!! :)

Oops, I forgot. I wanted to ask you something, Lisa. I was just browsing through the archives, and I re-read the blog from late December where you said that there was big news that you couldn't tell us yet. I was wondering, are you still unable to tell us the news or have I just missed it?

When I found that pic of Miranda Otto, I said "that's Raine." I like Vincent as Tam. I also think that Richard Armitage would make a great Sarad Nukpana.

Nope, Kate you haven't missed it. I can't tell until you guys until it's official. And when I post it, I guarantee that you won't miss it. I'll put it in big read type. ; ) Hopefully it won't be too much longer.

Ok, thanks! And now that I look at the pics more, I agree that Richard Armitage would make a great Sarad Nukpana. :)

Little late on the casting suggestions, but for Raine, I thought...

Ali Larter (from "Heroes", with red hair dye, of course)
Laura Prepon (from "That 70s Show")
Alison Eastwood (from "Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil")

All great choices, Bill. I knew what Laura looked like, but since I'm writing all the time, I don't get to watch much TV. So I had to look up Ali and Alison. Ali is an excellent choice.

I'm curious. Did you ever hear from the artist who painted your cover(s) if he/she had someone in mind? Or, did they use a family member/friend, model. Or just made her up in their head?

I've emailed Aleta Rafton (my cover artist) through my publisher, but I haven't had any direct contact. From blowing up the JPEG of the cover to like 300%, I could tell that Raine is a real person, and the cover is a computer manipulated photograph (at least of her). So my guess would be that Aleta used a model.

Miranda Otto is the best to play Raine! Amy Adams from Enchanted may work too... I dunno.
