I'm opening a Cafepress store

I've been getting requests for book-related t-shirts, mugs, etc. You ask and I deliver. Before Armed & Magical hits the shelves on April 29, the plan is to have a Cafepress store up and running and filled with goodies -- wearable and otherwise.

While I can't use the bookcovers themselves on items that will be sold (copyright issues), I can use the book titles and all sorts of other things.

What I need for you all to do is to pop over to Cafepress, take a look around, and let me know what kind of stuff you'd like to see in our store -- and what would you like to have on it. For example, would you like t-shirts or mugs with:

I (heart) Raine!
or
I (heart) Tam!
or
I (heart) Mychael!
or
I (heart) Phaelan!
with Armed & Magical on the other side.

And for those of you who have joined Raine's Rangers, I want to do Ranger gear as well. Let's show that Ranger pride. ; ) Black caps would be too cool!

And how about t-shirts with some of Raine's one-liners:

"In my family, that's not silence, it's reloading."

"Safe is relative."

"Most girls get flowers or candy. I get a declaration of martial law."

"I couldn't be bonded to just any old stone of cataclysmic power. Mine had lawyers."

Those are just some ideas. Let me hear yours. I'll be getting a designer to work soon on what we decide. Have fun with it!

Lisa

Love the messenger bag - have to think of something real good for that. No thongs - that would just be wrong!!!!!

A messenger bag -- I love it! Especially with my weakness for briefcase-type things.

And I can solemnly promise you that there will NEVER be thongs. Not only would that be wrong, it would be deeply wrong. ; )

Totally agree!! But the messenger bag would be cool- I would definitely buy one! BTW, I`ve joined Raine's Rangers and I think that whole setup is amazing. Kudos to you, Lisa!

So glad you like it, Kate! Tairis is doing a great job as master of ceremonies.

Blogs tend to be a little formal, and I thought a more fun atmosphere was needed. It's getting downright raucous over there. ; )

Ohhhh, how fun! Mugs and t-shirts, for sure. How about mousepads? And I think they have teddy bears with phrases on their t-shirts. Hats might be fun, but I don't tend to wear them, so I'd just hang one somewhere. How about bumper stickers? You've seen the ones with Starfleet Academy? How about Conclave of Sorcerers?

I love those quotes, and I'll have to dig for some more. (There's a whole series of Firefly products that have some of the unique phrases from the series.)

I just saw David Gray's post on Raine's Rangers. Oh yes! A black hat with "Armed & Magical" in the same typestyle (and with the little magic twinkles around the letters) would be awesome. That would work on a t-shirt too, methinks. And mugs! Oh, I want a mug. It would also work on bumper stickers, mousepads, and TEDDIES!

I'm having way too much fun here. LOL

Laurie, that'd be great if you could dig up some more phrases; I just included the ones you used in your review. And BTW, we can't use the exact font (copyright reasons), but I have a graphic designer coming up with something VERY similar. My publisher has given me permission to do that. Thank you for all of your suggestions!

Lisa, what about a goblin marinade? Just kidding... The messenger bags are fun and useful. Can't think what I'd do with a thong, unless I was hard up for a slingshot. The quotes are great, especially the reloading one.

LOL! I doubt if I could get Tam's grandmother to part with the family recipe.

I'll definitely be doing messenger bags, and the "reloading" quote is my favorite. I'm meeting with my designer this Saturday to get the ball rolling.
