Armed & Magical book release party photos

Naturally, you knew which piece of cake I wanted -- Raine's head. ; )

A great time was had by all at the Armed & Magical Book Release Party last night at the Durham, NC, Barnes & Noble. Angela Born (the B&N event coordinator) went above and beyond the call of duty with the cake, decorations, and amazing organizational skills.

COOL NEWS YOU ALL WILL LOVE -- The Barnes & Noble where I had my party has offered to send autographed copies of any of my books to my fans in the U.S. (including Alaska & Hawaii), for only the cost of the book, plus tax. Shipping will be free! Angela Born and I are working out the details now, and I'll post it all tomorrow. We'll also work out something for my international fans, as well. And not only will you get an autographed copy, but since my day job isn't far from this particular B&N, I'd be delighted to pop over and personalize books for you -- your name, if you're giving it as a birthday present, whatever. Anything to make you all happy! : )

Your spoiling them southreners Mrs. Shearin! What about us people up north? (although it would have been a 6 hour drive to Pittsburg I would have went if it wasnt a school day just to get an autographed book and watched and NHL game)

Maybe one of these days, my publisher will send me on a nationwide book tour. ; ) In the meantime, you can get an autographed copy. My local Barnes & Noble and I are working out the details now (see the last part of this morning's blog). ; )

What a gorgeous cake! Looks like you're having such a blast with this book release. Here's hoping you get to put 'bestselling author' on the cover of your next book.

Thank you everyone!!

Stacey, I bought the blouse I'm wearing in the mall in the Pittsburgh airport while we were waiting for our flights after RT. LOL. Linnea said that I simply had to have it. Though as usual, she didn't have to twist my arm. ; )

The blouse is gorgeous! I love the color and the neckline. It's very author-like and the ruffled collar seems very fantasy to me. In other words, perfect! As always, Linnea knows clothes!!! If she lived closer, I'd drag her with me every time I go shopping. She makes me try things that are outside my comfort zone but still somehow perfect. : )

It was fun shopping with Linnea. And if you have to kill time waiting for a flight, you might as well be productive and shop. ; )

Ooooo, tub markers.
