My office & closet -- clean and organized
Well, my office and closet space is now clean and organized. I didn't post before pics of my closet because I'd already thrown all of the contents out in the floor before I thought to photograph the chaos. The first three pics below are the closet. Before, I had stacks of old cardboard boxes, and a lot of stacked papers and old manuscripts. The old manuscripts/page proofs/galleys are now in the plastic storage bins in the bottom of the closet (organized by book, of course). My collection of computer cases is on top of that, and the shelving is there to give some order to everything else. It works for me, and I'm very pleased with it.
The fourth photo is my office before the cleaning/organizing, the last photo is the splendid aftermath. Now I can work in there. ; )
Have a great weekend!

Make sure your support bars and anchors are strong enough to support all that weight. I had the contents of a closet fall on me once. . . .
We definitely made sure. Fortunately, the shelving is lighter than it looks, and our closets were built really well. But I'm still keeping an eye out for signs of sagging.
It looks great, Lisa! I especially like the shelf with copies of your books. ;) And wow, the desk looks so tidy now.
I need to do something like this to my writing space too... again!
Enjoy your weekend.

Thanks everyone! I still need to get organizers for my desk drawers, but then I'm good to go.
Your office looks amazing! I'm particularly jealous of your closet. Where did you find the white shelving units? I want some for my closet! : )
Thank you! I got them at Lowe's. They're not expensive, and are a nice light weight.
