Holiday shopping & TTWD book goodies
I did 90% of my Christmas shopping this weekend while sitting at my desk and taking a break from writing Chapter 10 of Bewitched & Betrayed (which I finished, by the way. Yea!) My sister and all of my nieces and nephews will be receiving books from me and Derek for Christmas. They're all avid readers; I wanted to support booksellers during these tough economic times, so it was a perfect match. I was online and done in 10 minutes -- and I didn't even have to leave my desk. Fabulous!
For any readers on your holiday shopping lists, please consider a trip to your local bookstore. I still need to buy one or two more books, but I'll actually go to the bookstore to get them because I want to pick up some cool bookmarks to go with my other book gifts.

I did almost all my shopping this weekend too, and got every single person on my list at least one book. It actually turned out to be inexpensive and a fun way to shop. Oh, and I got myself a book or two also. :)
Fabulous! Giving books saves you money, plus the readers on your list get something they really want. A win-win situation for you, those on your gift list, and the booksellers.
Way to go! ; )
I hit the bookstores yesterday for Christmas gifts. I should start buying stock in Borders...
Bringing me to my next point:
I ordered a copy of Magic Lost, Trouble Found as a Christmas gift for yet another friend. I was wondering if you'd be willing to send me another bookplate for Lindsay. If that's a possibility, I can resend my contact information. If not, given that you've already sent me four of them, I understand.
Thanks,
Cherity
Cherity,
Yea for hitting the bookstores for gifts! And I have your address and would be delighted to you a bookplate for Lindsay.
Jeez, it's been a long day -- I'm dropping my verbs. Cherity, I would be delighted to SEND you a bookplate for Lindsay. ; )
I love to read - I've been reading as long as I can remember, and when I don't have a book (that I'm reading - I don't need to carry it with me or anything), I get upset - I'm happiest when I have a book, and I can read all day straight - no stops or breaks or anything. You just about have to shout my name to get me to notice anything else.
I don't think I'll be getting too many books for Christams - my bookshelves are full, and my mom isn't enthusiastic about buying me books when I have nowhere to put them. I will have to sort them, some of them have not been read in ages - but I still love all of them, and don't want them to go somewhere in storage, out of reach - out of sight, out of mind.
My friends don't like to read! Can you believe that? They mostly hate it. The ones that read - they read the classics, and already own all of the classics.
I suppose I'll end my rant...
My head is spinning today (resulting in typos?), I can't concentrate or do anything. I just need to grab a book, relax, and not think about the stuff I should be doing - I need a break.
Congratulatios on finishing chapter 10! :)
:) Something else tolook forward to in the post!
If A&M arrives today, or tomorrow, I'm spending part of my day off reading it from cover to cover!
