Twas the blog before Christmas
I think I'm going to let today be my last blog before Christmas.
My manager is out of the agency this week, so I'm in charge of proofing and production -- and we're open Christmas Eve, too (though I'm hoping we'll get to leave early). I'll be getting the final galley proofs today for The Trouble with Demons from my publisher and need to turn those around in a few days. I'm managing to stick to my output of a chapter every four days. I'm working on Chapter 15 of Bewitched & Betrayed now (wrote five pages last night -- woot!). But I've reached another one of those pesky transition points in the book and maintaining a chapter every four days is going to be a challenge, but I'm determined to do it.

Anyway, with all that's going on, I think I'll take a short break from blogging -- at least for the rest of this week. I'll be back to posting next Monday, the 29th. However, as always I will still be responding to emails and blog comments.
I hope you all have a most Merry Christmas!
Love,
Lisa

Merry Christmas Lisa!
Congratulations on all of your lost weight! (and you deserve the slight diet breaking, for a couple days)
Congratulations on the chapter outputs (you're doing wonderful - I'm happy for you) and good luck on the transition chapters. It won't help now, but you always seem to get through the bog, in the end. :)
Have a Merry Christmas, and I hope you won't push yourself to write much on Christmas - you knoww yourself, but I would think you should write a little, especially if you have an idea, but also take time to enjoy the day! Everyone needs a day.
bye :)
Thank you!
Yep, I do always seem to get through the boggy parts of a book.
And I won't be writing on Christmas, I'll be proofing galleys. ; ) I'll take them to my in-laws for Christmas dinner and opening presents. If I decide not to proof, I won't. But if I want to, I'll have the proofs there with me. But between me & you, I'll probably take the entire day off. After all it is Christmas. : )

Merry Christmas to all!
I used to write on the holiday, but I haven't for a couple of years now. I think the last year or two I needed the rest, as I was writing all the time. This time around I don't 'cause I haven't, but I'll still take the day off. I might do one thing that day, tho'- maybe make a few trees for the model railroad layout.
Hi Robert, I probably won't work on the galley proofs for TTWD on Christmas Day, but I'll take them to my in-laws just in case. Maybe do a couple of pages. ; )
:D That's great on the weight loss! You can do it with the chapters too :) Slowly but surely'll it'll get written.
I'm having a few days off because my stupid mood is having what I call professional disagreement with me. So by video gaming, and chatting to her, I'm getting the story worked out to a mutually agreed direction. At the moment I feel fortunate not to be on a deadline like you are - at least I can take time out and yell at the silly muse! Take care, Yuna
Merry Christmas, Lisa! Congrats on the weight loss and all theat you've accomplished with the books! :)
Thank you, Kate and Yuna! Merry Christmas!
