Snow in central North Carolina in March

We in central North Carolina got a little of the snow that's presently dumping copious amounts in the Northeast. We didn't get copious amounts at our house, just about 2-3 inches. But it was enough to make it very pretty. Here are views of the woods behind our house, and the street & and a cherry tree in bloom in front of our house. This weekend will be in the mid-70s. It's wacky North Carolina "spring" weather at its best.

Looks nice...

It'll be in the 70s later this week in the Sunflower State, way above normal. We haven't had much snow or rain. It's dry as a bone, and everyone's put in burn bans. Be nice if you could send some of that snow our way...

You live right next to the woods? It looks amazing.

Oh, that is pretty! We didn't get a single snowflake here in the Tennessee Valley, but my uncle said they got an inch or so in Birmingham.

Thank you! Actually, we live in town, but there are lots of wooded areas -- we're fortunate enough to have one of them in our backyard. It makes for a great view from my writing office windows.

And the snow should make it easier to see the deer -- Derek and I saw a small herd of five the other day.

Oh, that's gorgeous. I'm beyond jealous. The desert sucks apples. High is 88 today. :( If it would stay that way until May I'd be fine, but I doubt it will... Beautiful pictures, though. I'd love to be able to look out at that scene as I write. Just gorgeous.

The snow is pretty. It looks quite cold, tho, at least to me. {SMILE}
