Tomorrow's the BIG DAY
Well, tomorrow's the day we've all been waiting for -- The Trouble with Demons hits the bookstores, your eBook readers, and the Kindles! You all are in for an incredibly fun read. I can't wait to hear what you all think!
I have a big favor to ask. Last year you all made me a National Bestselling Author, and for that I simply cannot thank you enough. With The Trouble with Demons, I think I might actually have a chance at reaching my (or any author's) ultimate dream, the holy grail of publishing -- a place on The New York Times Bestseller List.
You all can help me get there. Buy your copy of The Trouble with Demons this week, or if you can't get to the bookstore this week, try to make it next week.
Big sales numbers during the first week or two is a big part of what it takes to win a place of the NYT list. And if you already have a copy ordered for yourself . . . prepare for a shameless book plug. ; ) With graduations and Mother's Day coming up (not to mention birthdays and beach trips), if that special someone might like a fantasy adventure with hot goblins and elves, consider buying them a copy of TTWD. (Okay, shameless plug over.)
I think I'm even more excited than you are for you to read this book -- and to hear what you think. Email me or respond to a blog post and let me know how you liked it. You know how much I enjoy hearing from all of you.
Lisa
UPDATE ON SIGNED BOOKS: I just spoke with Linda at the Cary, NC, Barnes & Noble -- they STILL have not received their shipment of The Trouble with Demons. Linda expects it today. Dang, but it's almost funny. The author's home store is one of the last to get the books. When they get the books, I'll go and sign & personalize for all of you who have ordered. My apologies for the delay.

Ohhhh, excited! I so hope the book arrives tomorrow. I pre-ordered another book two weeks ago from the same site that came out on the 21st, but it's still not here yet :/
Whatever, excited!! I shall spread the word!
Thank you, Jo!
I've decided to run by the book store after work tomorrow to pick up a copy. I was going to download it, but I want that old fashioned paper copy! Can't wait to read it!
Thank you, K.C.!
Amazon says May 5th... grr.
Hopefully they're wrong... I can dream it'll come today, right?
Hi Britt,
Did Amazon send you an email saying that it wouldn't ship until then? Because their website says April 28.
I've ordered off Amazon UK, who are apparently out of stock right now (bah!). Does that count towards NY Times bestseller list or not? I can't exactly buy it in the US, being the wrong side of the Atlantic and all...
Everything counts. ; ) Yeah, I've noticed that Amazon UK has been out of stock for a couple of days now. You Brits must have eagerly bought up all the copies. Woot! Don't worry, they'll get more soon.
Woo! I'm happy to report that your books now hit the shelves in Alaska as fast as Linnea Sinclair's. Science Fiction seems to be more popular here than Fantasy. I went to the store yesterday and there was Raine!
Good luck, Lisa--I'll be buying a copy this week for sure. :) I actually just visited my local Vroman's (Pasadena, CA) and asked for them to order a couple of copies of Magic Lost, Trouble Found as they didn't have it. I'll be asking them to order TTWD too!
Excellent, Kimber An!
Thank you, Marie!
My B&N had it on the shelf already when I went by there last Friday, I love my B&N, they always do that. :) I will try to start soon! Can't wait! I hope you get your coveted spot, Lisa!
I hope to get to pick it up tomorrow. {cross fingers} Not that I'll get to read it until a couple of days after Mother's Day, but still. {SMILE}

Thank you Samantha & Anne!
I got a conformation from Amazon on Sunday that my copy had shipped, so any day now...
I'm really hoping it gets here Thursday since I'm going away on Friday for the weekend and I want TTWD to read on the road. :) (If it gets here BEFORE Thursday I'll have already read it by Friday. I have NO self-control when it comes to books.)
Hi Chicory, Yea!!!
:) I should tell my former piano teacher about the Raine series. She's the one who introduced me to mysteries. I bet the books would cross-over to the mystery audience as easily as it does to the romance lovers out there. Raine is a regular gumshoe.
Chicory, that would be great! Go forth and convert the masses. ; )
