"The Day" has come!
Happy Friday to me! Yes, "The Day" has finally come -- I've finished Bewitched & Betrayed!!!!!!
Oh happiness, oh joy, oh complete rapture!
I've promised to have the book in my editor's email on Monday morning, so I'll be spending the weekend, putting the separate chapter files together into one big file, running spell check, and giving the entire book a quick read to make sure everything is exactly how I want it.
Then I am taking three weeks off from writing, but not to worry, I'll still be blogging every day per usual. Then on Monday, June 29 (or who am I kidding, probably before) I'll start working on the proposals/plot synopsis' for the next couple of Raine books, so my publisher will hopefully offer me another multiple-book contract.
Tomorrow, I hope to post some great pics, and starting on Monday, I'll get back to the list of your questions which include:
Making the magic work, or at least make sense.
How much time should you spend developing a character?
Am I moving my story forward?
How do I figure out what happens next?
Keeping your hopes up while looking for an agent.
Writing in the moment.
"Framing" your book.
Oh happiness, oh joy, oh complete rapture!

Congrats, Lisa! I hope you really celebrate tonight.
Of course, once you send it off, the nervous waiting for the editor's response begins. But from what you've written before, your waiting might not be as rough as some of ours have been.
So, too early to ask when B&B will come out? :)
Doesn't it come out next year?
Whoohoo for being on target!
Um, do publishers accept bribes? Because...we NEED more Raine in the world.
Thank you! Bewitched & Betrayed should be out around the same time TTWD was -- late April, early May. But it'll be a couple of months before I have an absolute publication date from my publisher.
Robert, I think I'll always be a little nervous waiting for Anne to read the manuscript and tell me what she thinks. It's the nature of the author beast. ; )
Yay, congrats! Can't wait to read it in another year. :)
Congratulations! Here's to a few nice and relaxing weeks! I'm not too far off finishing The Trouble with Demons, so it may be a bit torturous having to wait a year for the next book as I've had to wait pratically nothing between the first three, but I'll be patient! :)
I'm not liking the title much, though, but only because it makes me think too much. I start wondering who can/has bewitched and betrayed Raine. I think we can skip Phealen and Ryn. Everyone else she's close to can do magic. Am I allowed to voice my guesses? I have someone in mind, but it makes me sad.
Oh dear. I haven't finished the last book, but now I want the next one NOW. I should stop thinking.
Congrats again, Lisa!
Jo, you're not the first to worry about the title Bewitched & Betrayed. I'll tell you the same thing that I told them: Don't worry. : )
Lisa-
Yay for finishing the book! I can't wait to read it next year.
So your title isn't meant to sound scary or sad? Because your title, altough awesome, gives me the creeps, like something really bad is about to happen.
Have a great vacation! You deserve it!
Haha, I won't worry until the book is in my hands - and then I'll start guiltily distrusting everyone Raine loves. Haha, I can feel myself getting mad at the thought, characters coming to mind and thinking "Don't you dare..." No. No worrying. I'll stop :)
Congratulations Lisa! Yay! I hope yu get to relax, and I am completely excited! Good luck on the hopefully soon to come book contract : )
I don't love the title, but I trust everybody : )
congrats again, Lisa, and take as much time off as you can without twitching : )
Yay! Congrats! *confetti*
Have a fantastic writing-free three weeks! :)
Congrats!
I can't wait until it hits the shelves! :)
Wow, congratulations! Enjoy your time off and I'm keeping my fingers crossed for more Raine books!
CONGRATULATIONS! on finishing your book. {BIG SMILE}
But... how on earth do you plan to stop writing for three weeks solid? If I'm not actually writing anything down, I'm playing with characters, exploring a world, or something! {Smile}
