Pirate cartoon

I was going to post pics of the contents of my bookshelves (per Jo's request), but I was working late and forgot to tell Derek (hubby, manager, arm candy, and photographer). I'm letting him sleep in this morning, while I get to work. So I'll post those next week. In the meantime, I got this over on Twitter from some fans on Talk Like A Pirate Day. If this doesn't have "Phaelan" written all over it, I don't know what does.

The edits on Bewitched & Betrayed were due to my editor this Thursday, but yesterday I asked for and got (thank you, Anne!) a one-week extension. I've got one new section to write and one chapter to re-write, so I needed some extra time. I'm gonna be writing like a mad woman until Monday, Oct.5. Though I plan on coming up for air and blogging every day -- and of course, there's my day job. Oh well, sleep is way overrated. ; )

Have a great weekend!

Reminds me of an exchange in an early 1980s post-apocalypse movie. The title escapes me, but I think it was made in New Zealand with some American actors.

Anyway, early on the bad guys arrive in a village. The leader of the baddies tells his lieutenant something like, "Acquire and redistribute." The lieutenant repeats that to the comic villain flunkie, who then shouts to all the baddies, "Loot! Loot!"

Hi, I'm back. You're right, the cartoon does sound like Phaelan.

{Chuckle} That's quite a cartoon. {SMILE}

I'm glad the revisions are coming along, even if they are taking a little longer than one might hope. {SMILE}

Glad you are feeling better. I really enjoy your books and I am eagerly awaiting "Bewitched and Betrayed". You have drawn me into your world of fantasy. I really like your characters and their development. The only other books that have left an imprint in my heart were, "Lord of the Rings" trilogy, and the Harry Potter books. Unfortunately, Tolkien died and Rowling ruined the series for me by killing off my favorite characters and changing the whole tone of her books. They became too dark and I stopped reading them.
I hope you don't follow in her footsteps. I love your great imagination and your attention to detail in your books. You seem to really enjoy writing this series. It shows in your work.
I eagerly await the next book.

Have you ever thought to make your books into a movie?
The characters would really come to life on the big screen.
Interesting thought, isn't it?
Think about it.
So many actors come to mind to play Raine and Phaelan.
I would go see the movie in a heart beat!
