Well, it's finished -- and something unexpected happened
Well, I finished the final edits to Bewitched & Betrayed this weekend (YEA!!!) and I had to sleep pretty much all day Sunday to recuperate. I emailed the book to my editor.
As you know, I had to request an additional week of editing time from my publisher. And I'll tell you why.
I had to write a sex scene.
Did these two characters let me know they planning on making wild, passionate love back when I was writing the book? Nooooo. Did they let me know when I turned the book in? Nooooo. They informed me of this about 10 freakin' DAYS ago. I just sat and stared at my computer screen and went: "You have GOT to be kidding!" I hadn't planned on sex in this book, but apparently these two characters didn't share my reluctance. I tried to talk them out of it, or hoped that one of them would get cold feet. Didn't happen.
That was the main reason why I needed to take a week off from blogging -- so I could write some good ol' sexy smut that you all could enjoy. : )
Bewitched & Betrayed is gonna rock. Ya'll are gonna love it. And I can't wait until you can get your hot little hands on it.

Oh my word. WHO?! Obviously you're not going to tell us, but but... Raine tells the story, so obviously she's involved, but who else?! Oh dear, she chooses in the next novel. I'm not sure I want her to choose yet! Oh dear.
Well, this is exciting! I now CANNOT WAIT for B&B! Roll on April!
Oh, by the way, my Dad finished reading Magic Lost, Trouble Found a few days ago, and he really likes it! :)

That's not fair! You can't write a sex scene, tell us about it, and then not tell us who it is!!! Now we're going to be biting our nails until April! Sigh. Well, I guess I can wait. Not like I have much choice, right?
Was it odd that I squee-ed at this news? Of course, the suspense is nearly killing me, but I know it'll be worth it once I get my hands on B&B. :) Good job listening to the characters (even if they didn't tell you in a very timely fasion)! :)
Hmm . . . I find myself more interested in who the partner is in the sex scene than the actual scene itself. So either Raine makes a choice, or she just lets her passions get the best of her and she possibly regrets it later.

I love me some smut :). I am so, so curious as who is doing the dirty. Can't wait!! I got my mom hooked on the series, too. She read all three books in a weekend :).

{look over previous comments} I'm not so sure that one sexual encounter settles who is with whom in the long term. If that's all it takes, Tam won Raine before readers met either of them. Everything I've seen so far suggests it's not that simple. {SMILE}

To be truthful I would rather it be the threesome then have either Tam or Mychael be left out, I love them both. So it makes me sad if she choses one over the other. LOl

I have to say that I have thoroughly enjoyed your first 3 books but am finding myself disappointed that a sex scene is included in this new book. It will definitely make me think before I pick up the new book.
