NaNo -- Saturday blog lite

Today I have the usual grocery shopping to do, plus Derek & I are having breakfast with a friend who we haven't seen in about ten years. Then for dinner, we're hitting what's supposed to be the best BBQ place in the area with our good friends Ken & Robin. So today's word totals may not make the daily quota, but I'm gonna try.

Knowing all this, I busted my NaNo butt yesterday and came up with 2346 words. My grand total is now 25,657. Which is about 1/4 of the way to a complete book for me (usually 100K words). So I'm right on schedule for having a first draft of Con & Conjure done by January 1st. Woot!

Have a great weekend!
Lisa

good luck on your NaNo! And Have Fun!

I know you are trying not to edit as you go anymore. I know you usually try to avoid it, but does that mean you will have more editing to do?

Very excited about books coming up! Last I checked, Bewitched and Betrayed wasn't on Amazon, but I suppose it is still a little eary for that?

Thank you, Kim! I'll definitely have a lot of editing to do.

Bewitched & Betrayed is on Amazon. Here's the link:

Currently my Nano word count is 21,766. I would love to hit the halfway point today, but it's been hard to write more than the daily minimum., so I probably won't.

For me, editing while writing keeps me from moving forward in a project. In fact, it is one of the reasons I never finish what I start. With Nano I am taking a completely different approach. I will not look back, I will not edit, I will finish this draft! So far it is working!

Although you will have plenty of editing to do Lisa many of us will be right there with you! Congrats on your word count and have fun today!

My book is now preordered. : )

Actually, I have two copies of Armed and Magical. I had it ordered so far in advance that it did not show up on recent orders, and I thought I wasn't going to get it. So we went out and bought it, and got it from Amazon. Barnes and Nobles is one of my favorite stores, but I go with amazon for things like this. It's a shame we do not really have any small local bookstores.

But the main point is: yay! It's preordered!
