Christmas Eve morning

9:07 AM (got here at 8:15) Well, I'm at my day job for a few hours along with a few of our designers getting some last-minute client jobs out the door. I'm having cereal and hot tea. Hope to be able to go home around lunchtime -- Wendy's here I come. ; ) And once I get home, there's a nap with my name on it. Tonight is church, then off to friends' house for some diet-busting goodies. Tomorrow is Christmas Day with Derek's family. Snacks, lunch, presents, more snacks. I love it!

And I love you guys. You're the best fans an author could ever hope for. I hope you all have a Merry Christmas, happy holidays, and a wonderful New Year!

I'm going to work on a little Con & Conjure now.

Hugs,
Lisa

Merry Christmas to you, Lisa, and holiday wishes to everyone, no matter what holiday you celebrate.

I might take some break from writing tomorrow, but I may have to make copies from a book so I can get back to work Saturday. We writers seem to take so few vacations from our muses. But that's a good thing, right?

Enjoy all the snacks!

Yes...writers remind me of life as a student. Holidays don't realise exist. But unlike my student days, I love my writing (most of the time) and it's not a chore to work over the holidays.

Happy Holidays Lisa and everyone else who reads this blog. I look at holidays this way:

I used to work in broadcast TV. I NEVER in 15 years was home for Christmas Eve, Christmas Day or any other major holiday.

Now I teach college so I have many holidays off. Choosing to write during those days (as I often do) is at least my choice (not some general manager's choice who's afraid of losing a ratings point).

Plus I can stop when I want to relax or celebrate. (always a plus)
