Today's the day!

Today's the day. Go to my SAMPLE CHAPTERS page to see your Christmas present! And yes, Chapter 3 ends on a cliffhanger again. Sorry about that. Well, not really. ; )

I had a 4-day weekend this past weekend (I have a vacation day today from my day job). Though for me, "vacation day" means "writing-like-a-mad-woman day." And I got a LOT done this weekend: Chapters 11, 12, 13, AND 14 of Con & Conjure. Needless to say, the story is flowing again. I have another 4-day weekend coming up for Christmas, and I'll be doing the same thing again -- with the exception of Christmas Eve night and Christmas Day. On Christmas Eve night , Derek & I go to church for the Communion service and then we get together with friends to feast on decadent junk food. All diets are off. On Christmas Day we get together with family for food, catching up with each other, gifts, and more food.

So I won't blog this week (well, I may pop in if something important happens). BUT next Monday, I'll be announcing a cool new contest with an even cooler prize, something I've never offered before here.

Enjoy the first three chapters of Bewitched & Betrayed! (And let me know what you think either via comments here or an email.) I write these books for you so I want to know how you like it. ; )

Merry Christmas, ya'll!

Big hug!
Lisa

Thank you! I think Bewitched & Betrayed is the best book I've written so far.

That's a very exciting beginning. I do like the way Raine's internal dialogue adds just enough humor to keep things from staying too tense too long. {SMILE}

The question is, how are we going to wait until the book is out, now? :) Loved the opening, by the way. As always, Raine seems to be in way over her head. I'm glad I'm not her!

Wow. I will be introducing my brother to the first Raine book as soon as he's finished the series he's currently on (I am his official literary advisor), so I'm glad to see Raine and co. progressing in style!

That was epic but, as a correction. the endding isn't a cliff hangers, it's a damn free fall from the top Everest. ;)

Wow, Lisa-- I just got through Chapter 3 this evening-- and all 3 are breathless swirls of action and suspense--I can't wait to read the whole book. I really admire Raine's strength of character and the way in which you keep those flashes of dry humor even amidst the danger and fear. Her voice comes through clear and strong, which is fantastic. You keep these chapters just rolling along, something I need to work on in my own writing. Cool!
