Manic Friday
We're moving offices here today at my day job, and I just now got my Internet connection restored. I'm in a different office now, and I'll post a pic when I get it set up. I'll post a Saturday Fun Pic tomorrow, and on Monday I'll answer the following reader question on knowing your characters:
You always say listen to your characters, right? What about when you are starting a book and you don't know them -- so you don't what they would or wouldn't do? How do you know you're on the right track? Or do you?
Great question, and I'll answer it on Monday.
Happy Friday!
Lisa

Hey Lisa, I just saw your post at Tia's blog and thought I'd come over and say hi since I just finished Magic Lost, Trouble Found last week and loved it (plus it had my fav font ever on the title which is double bonus points!!!!). Anyway, I can't wait to read book two now!
As for your question, my characters are a bunch of evil creatures who constantly lead me up the wrong paths just so they can sit back and have a laugh at me, which basically means I never know if I'm on the right track or not. It makes for a lot of rewriting!
Hi Amanda! I'm so glad you stopped by. And I'm extra tickled that you loved MLTF. You'll have to let me know what you think after you read A&M. ; )
Anytime I go down a wrong path it's usually my fault. But Tam is notorious for giving me no help whatsoever. I can just see him leaning against a doorway, smirk on his face, that bad boy glitter in his eyes, challenging me to guess what he's thinking.
Isn't moving anywhere *not fun*? Currently moving back to parents. Virtually all my stuff is now here (took 5 carloads....) Just got to organise it all. Could you lend me Quentain so he can put everything away 'like that' *clicks fingers* (sorry if spelling wrong...) Unpacking takes up valuable writing time!!
Yep, moving does take up valuable writing time. As does cooking, cleaning, grocery shopping, laundry, and that pesky but necessary chore -- sleeping.
Yeah but at least when sleeping shiny new ideas can appear for stories in dreams!
